Writer's Block
Even hacks struggle to figure out what to say sometimes lol

So I've been writing an essay in pieces for a few weeks now and it's been kicking my ass!
It's that feeling of just not quite nailing the execution of the idea in your head, jotting down something close, and then refining until you're stuck or other priorities take over again. Not exactly classical writer's block, I suppose, but it's what's kept me busy.
It doesn't help either that I have this sort of fear that doing a ramble post will rob me of the motivation to keep working on an actual, well thought out essay. That's not without precedent for me, and it's something I've learned to try and work around; it's related to the classic idea of not telling people about your projects because doing so gives you the mental feeling of already having done it, so you stop working on them.
Overall though, they're different writing styles and vibes, so I'm also gonna work on letting myself do a ramble when I want to without sweating the effect. Better to do something than nothing, right?
